A Trans-Tasman Birthday Bash! Celebrating SheShed’s 8th Birthday!

SheShed, the creation of visionary entrepreneurs from both New Zealand and Australia, recently reached a significant milestone – it’s 8th Birthday! To commemorate this remarkable journey, the teams, and offices from across the Tasman Sea came together in a grand and heart-warming celebration of camaraderie that marked SheSheds 8th Birthday party!

Born from a shared passion for unique spaces and personal oasis, SheShed has been a beacon of inspiration for countless women across both New Zealand and Australia. Its founder, Gemma who is originally from Nelson, New Zealand, and managing-director, Luke from Australia, dreamed of a platform that would not only provide a space for women to unwind and indulge in their hobbies, but also foster a sense of community. As SheShed grew in popularity and impact, the teams form Australia and New Zealand felt that the 8th birthday was the perfect opportunity to strengthen the bonds between the two nations. After all, the brand has become a symbol of unity and collaboration, transcending geographical boundaries. So, the idea of a Trans-Tasman birthday bash was born!

Planning an event spanning two countries was no small feat, but the teams were up for the challenge.

Meetings were held over video calls, ideas exchanges, and creative energies combined. On the big day, the offices in Katoomba and Nelson were a hive of activity. Balloons were inflated, decorations put up, and the scent of delicious cake filled the air.

In Katoomba, the courtyard between the display cabins was transformed into a wonderland of colour and warmth, while in Nelson, the reception hall outside of our stunning Star cabin display was decorated in soft and inviting pastels. As the teams gathered at both locations, there was an undeniable sense of excitement and unity. The celebrations began with heartfelt words about the dedication and creativity that drive both teams, and founders/directors, Gemma and Luke.

One of the highlights of the celebration was a cross-Tasman game of “Pin the Doors on the SheShed!”. It was a moment where both teams could unite over a moment of joy and fun, strengthening the connection between offices, and showcasing the power of SheShed in bringing people together.

The teams exchanged photos, shared laughter, and cut cake together.
SheSheds 8th Birthday celebration was not just a party; it was a testament to the power of community, collaboration, and the enduring spirit of all our SheShed customers across Australia and New Zealand.
