The Star Canopy SheShed - A Chic Re-Design!

Our beautiful Star Canopy Display SheShed is in sunny Nelson Tasman, New Zealand, has just had a reshuffle and a redesign! Situated close to the entrance of our office now, the Star Canopy SheShed is now open the the public during weekdays for you to walk through and experience the SheShed for yourself. For those who cannot make it to Nelson, or are located out of New Zealand, one of our friendly staff will be happy to catch up with you over a Zoom tour, where they can take you around the Star Canopy Cabin and answer all your questions at the same time!

The Star Canopy Cabin is a fantastic twist on the 3m x 3m Star Cabin, as it is made even better and more spacious with the addition of a 3m x 3m canopy out the front! This cabin is designed for those who love the idea of having the practical use of a SheShed, while still also being able to relax outside with plenty of additional shelter from rain and sun. It is a great multifunctional space that can be versatile for many uses such as a guest house, spare bedroom, office space, hair studio, beauty therapy, home business, kids retreat, granny flat, bach or holiday house extension… basically whatever your space needs, this SheShed is the solution!

This time round we have styled the Star Canopy Cabin with a comfortable king single bed and an awesome sized desk opposite it. We have used a soft and feminine colour pallete - really making it a "She" shed with tones of pink coupled with neutral tones. We can see someone using this spot as a wee bit of a personal retreat with the table used as an inspirational crafting space as well as a chill out zone. The indoor and outdoor plants add a bit of freshness to the space, and there are even some snazzy wardrobe pieces too!

The French doors and top hung window are both double glazed and provide great natural lighting into the interior of the cabin. As a feature, we decided to leave the internal window and door frames, as well as the roof beams exposed as a contrast to the painted white interior. This suits the natural juxtaposition we were going for, as well as the surroundings - which is semi rural with nearby vineyards and fields.

The verandah was built separately from the Star Canopy Cabin, but anyone building this cabin can customise the patio/deck area to be anything from timber decking, a smooth concrete patio, or even a tiled look - the choice is yours! Finally, the outside of this SheShed is finished off with a gentle light grey paint. We are just in love with this cabin - and when you come to visit it, you will love it too!
