“It was the simple yet elegantly proportioned lines of the She Shed that first caught our eye, on display at homelands.

I was looking for something easily erected that flew beneath the permit criteria radar that would work as a home-gym, office or pool change room, and it’s dimensions fitted the bill perfectly.

The kit-set materials came dry, wrapped and with assembly instructions. We were determined to have the first coat of paint on the day it was assembled to avoid any distortion of the untreated wood if it got wet.

All surfaces got one undercoat and two top-coats; the final look well worth the extra time and care, (although if I did it again I’d paint the timber before erecting it; four days painting for two people was a lot of concentration).

Because it was to be used to house my high-speed treadmill, I put in two extra windows for ventilation – a call I’m glad I made now in the summer heat. Thanks SheShed team; we love our (S)he Shed!”
