Sally lives in a popular beachside holiday destination in Northland, New Zealand. She needed a sanctuary and office away from her house where she could do some painting, work, reading or simply some relaxation while looking out to the luscious native bush. She knew she already had the perfect spot for her calm haven, so all she needed now was the right cabin!
Reaching out to the SheShed team and working with her sales consultant, she found the best cabin for her chosen space. Sally settled on the brand new 8.75sqm Tussock cabin, featuring modern French doors, tilt and turn European windows, double glazing and a corrugated steel roof. The shape and size was just perfect for her sheltered location and suited her nearby house well too.
As her SheShed is the second building on her land, Sally named her cabin "Rua"
Based in "Sunny Nelson," New Zealand, Diane set out to create something unique and multifunctional in her own back yard. She settled on getting a 19.4 square meter Brook River Cabin for her property where she could really spread out, work, play, entertain guests and relax in essentially the same space!
"I use it as a Zen Den, hobby craft room, studio, spare bedroom- I’ve designed it so it’s multifunctional. It’s great having this beautiful space In the garden. I have a desk, chair, sofa bed, breakfast bar, with two stools, computer, bar fridge, microwave, tea and coffee making facilities. Also a sofa chair which is a fab way to relax inside and out of the cabin. I have two cape cod chairs on a deck I built to create a good indoor outdoor flow from the cabin. I love it !!"

“Our She Shed started life out in Dunedin, when my wife was looking for a retreat to match our 1908 villa.
Unfortunately, due to land size and the addition of a garage and garden shed, erecting the She Shed would not have given the design the justice it deserved, and so it sat in our garage for 18 months.
After checking with the SheShed team that we could ship the shed to Australia without any problems, we packed everything up and moved back to the Gold Coast where the She Shed again sat in the garage for another year.
Fortunately with our new property we had the perfect spot for the She Shed and after a lot of wife nagging and hard weekends jack hammering rocks, and the removal of some small trees, the She Shed began to evolve.”
