Perfect size for my personal studio and chilling out space - no Council approval was required. The rest of the family are envious. I built it myself over three weekends, and the instructions - both the booklet and videos - provided the necessary information. The materials provided are generally of good quality; however, as pine wood was used, some minor bending and twisting occurred, which was anticipated. Packaging could be improved, as the door glass arrived cracked due to insufficient protection when placed at the top of the package.
Nonetheless, the SheShed staff responded promptly and arranged for replacement parts, for which we are sincerely appreciative. Overall, we are very satisfied with SheShed's service and customer support.

The whole process was a great experience. In particular I want to thank Elizabeth Ross (Lizzie) for an amazing level of customer service. From the first phone call until the completion of the project Lizzie provided tremendous support through exceptional knowledge of the product, promptness of service, absolute professionalism and a can do attitude that is so rare today. She showed great patience, courtesy and friendliness and not one did she come across as "hard sell" Truly her focus was on ensuring that the client felt supported throughout.
As for the product itself, I am delighted. Everything was supplied well packaged, in good order, complete, and most importantly delivered on time. Every piece fitted perfectly, the step by step building manual along with the video made assembly a breeze and the quality is also exceptional.
it took us two days to build and another two days to seal & paint. Just need to sort gutters, steps a few smaller details to finish.
I would recommend She Shed to anyone wanting to invest in a quality product at a very reasonable price.

Do I need council approval for a shed?

Generally speaking, most sheds and cabanas are exempt under floor area:

What's included with the Cottage Garden Shed?

Every Cottage Garden Shed comes with a single double-glazed door, asphalt roofing tiles, and all the hardware you need to assemble it (nails, screws, handles, and locks). The main timber structure is PEFC-certified, sustainably sourced Nordic Spruce, kiln-dried and treated to an H3 level — note that the door itself is untreated timber, so it will need to be properly painted for protection, same as the rest of the timber. You’ll also get comprehensive build instructions, plus phone and email support while you build.

Is the timber treated?

Yes — the Cottage Garden Shed is built from treated timber, designed to resist warping, mould, and termite damage over time. It will still need to be properly painted for protection from sun and weather.

Can I build it myself, or do I need a builder?

It’s designed for DIY assembly, but if you’d rather not tackle it yourself, we can help you find a local builder.

How much is delivery, and how long does it take?
